Huber Cow Mat & Mattress. This continuous roll of mat is made in Erding in Germany. It is made from 100% new tire compound the only mat on the market that is made in this way. This means it is not recycled rubber which is being reheated. It is also the reason it doesn’t crack, break down or contain any carcinogenic materials. Both 4GS Mattress and N20 Comfort Roll come with 10 years warranty from Huber. Huber mats are design for all year round housing so you can trust this mat with last.

N20 Comfort Roll is our most popular mat. This rubber roll is made up of 15 mm rubber bungs and 5 mm of solid rubber to increase cow comfort (10.7 mm compression when the animal lays down). This continuous roll will be cut to your required length to ensure the minimum of joinings on your bed.

The N20 roll is fixed to cow bed with 1 M8x80 stainless steel coach screw at every cow space under the cubicle at the cows head.

The 4 GS mattress is supplied to your required bed length with no joinings under the cow. The mattress consists of a 4 mm mat. The foam base consists of 30 mm thick composite foam sheets, creating perfect deflection. The compression resistance is designed for high punctual loads by dairy cows, keeping the shape of the base as it was for many years. The mattress is fixed to the cow bed front and back with a 6.4mmm x 70mm stainless steel nails that do not require rawl plugs. Fixings are spaced out every 25cm. Each cow space requires approx 8 stainless steel nails.

Over 120,000 Irish cows are currently lying on Huber Technik comfort roll since we started distributing the product. A testimony to the quality of Huber mat and mattresses is the fact that there have been 0% warranty claims over the last 30 years. Huber comes with a 10-year regressive warranty.

All mats are DLG and PAH tested.

DLG – A quality mark “DLG-approved for single value-determining criteria” is awarded to agricultural products. The products have successfully passed a DLG usability test according to independent and recognised evaluation criteria.

PAH TESTING

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a group of over 100 different chemicals that are formed during the incomplete burning of coal, oil and gas, garbage, or other organic compounds. PAHs are known for their carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic properties.

PAHs can be found in petrochemicals, rubber, plastics, lubricants, antirust oil, paints, leather and other products. Rubber and plastics are high risky materials containing PAHs.

DLG TESTING

The test centre technology and farm inputs of DLG (German Agricultural Society) is an independent test company in Frankfurt. DLG performed the following “Signum Tests” on Geyer & Hosaja rubber cow mats

Deformability & Elasticity Test: Evaluates softness, comfort, and elasticity of a rubber mat before use and after simulating 10 years of normal use.

Permanent Tread Load Test: Evaluates the top and bottom surface wear and softness of a rubber mat after simulating 10-years of normal use. Artificial Cow’s foot exerts 2,200 pounds of downward pressure.
